Computing Fellows - Vagelos Computational Science Center (CSC)
The Vagelos Computational Science Center (CSC) at Barnard seeks a new cohort of Computing Fellows for the 2020-21 academic year.
Barnard Computing Fellows are undergraduate peer academic leaders who assist in the development and execution of CSC workshops and other projects. Fellows are also “attached” to specific courses; the fellows support the instructor and students in the course, with a particular focus on helping to develop and lead computational projects. Fellows participate in training and workshops specifically for the fellows, including activities to further development of computational skills, pedagogy workshops, and topics around the interactions of computing and society.
Applicants should have some experience coding, but more importantly, a strong willingness to learn. Must be a currently enrolled student in good standing. For the 2020-2021 academic year, students can be hired even if they are not on campus.
Apply through Barnard Works by searching for Job ID 12884. If you are a Columbia student, please send a resume and unofficial transcript to Jared Stickley, Administrator of the Computational Science Center, at jstickle@barnard.edu.
